The Mets’ big Memorial Day weekend series against the Braves began with a fizzle.

Friday’s series opener at Citi Field was postponed by rain, which was expected to continue throughout the night and weekend.

A makeup date has yet to be announced, though manager Luis Rojas said they were looking at the teams’ series from July 26-29 as a likely landing spot for a doubleheader.

Taijuan Walker was set to come off the injured list to make the start Friday for the Mets, but is now expected to start Saturday’s game, weather permitting.

The rainout was the second of the week for the Mets, who played a doubleheader Thursday against the Rockies after having Wednesday’s game postponed.

Fans with tickets to Friday’s game can exchange them for a ticket comparable in price and location to another game this season (except for the Yankees series Sept. 10-12), subject to availability.
