The Mets continued to add to their minor league depth Thursday, signing pitcher Arquimedes Caminero and outfielder Rymer Liriano and giving both invites to spring training.

Caminero has spent the past two seasons in Japan, racking up 40 saves with the Yomiuri Giants. The 31-year-old righty went 1-1 with 11 saves and a 5.79 ERA in 20 games in 2018 before undergoing right elbow surgery. He posted 29 saves and 65 strikeouts in 63.1 innings with the Giants in 2017.

Over four major league seasons with the Marlins, Pirates and Mariners, Caminero totaled a 7-5 record with a 3.83 ERA and 8.3 K/9.

The 27-year-old Liriano played 59 games over parts of two seasons with the Padres (2014) and White Sox (2017). He’s closing in on the 1,000-game mark in the minors, batting at a .272 clip with 105 homers, 489 RBIs and 208 stolen bases in 963 games. He split 2018 between Salt Lake and Colorado of the Pacific Coast League.
