Starling Marte will return to the Mets lineup for Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series against the San Diego Padres on Friday night.

Marte will bat sixth and start in right field in his first game since Sept. 6, having missed 4 1/2 weeks due to a broken finger.

Brandon Nimmo (CF), Francisco Lindor (SS), Jeff McNeil (2B), Pete Alonso (1B) and Daniel Vogelbach (DH) will bat ahead of Marte, with Mark Canha (LF), Eduardo Escobar (3B) and Tomas Nido (C) behind him.

Marte’s inclusion on the 26-man roster was one of several decisions the Mets announced on Friday, with rookie catcher Francisco Alvarez making it as well. Neither Mark Vientos nor Tyler Naquin were among the position players on the first playoff roster.

The Mets open up their postseason against the Padres at 8 p.m. on Friday night, with Max Scherzer taking the hill against San Diego starter Yu Darvish.
