PORT ST. LUCIE — The Mets had no comment, other than to say they are aware of the situation, on Dwight Gooden’s arrest in New Jersey for driving under the influence of drugs and leaving the scene of an accident.
Gooden was also charged with child endangerment and motor vehicle violations.
The team has not changed plans to induct Gooden into the Mets’ Hall of Fame on Aug. 1 along with Darryl Strawberry, Davey Johnson and Frank Cashen.
