Once Wilson Ramos came in, Kevin Plawecki was likely to go out.

And now that is the reality, as the Mets made their third trade in two days Sunday, shipping the catcher to Cleveland in exchange for a pair of minor leaguers, right-hander Walker Lockett and infielder Sam Haggerty.

This sets up Ramos as the starter and Travis d’Arnaud as the Mets’ backup.

The 27-year-old Plawecki had a down season last year, hitting .210 with seven home runs in 79 games.

Lockett spent most of 2018 in Triple-A, where he pitched to a 4.73 ERA in 23 games started. Haggerty is a 24-year-old who briefly rose to Triple-A last season. In Double-A, he slashed .243/.373/.396.
