New York beat Philadelphia by a score of 4-1 to advance to the NLCS. The Mets took the series 3-1 and will face either the Padres or the Dodgers in the next round.

Dodgers off to early lead against San Diego

It's time to scoreboard watch.

The Mets may need to take a break from the beer and bubbly to keep an eye on the remaining NLDS series between the Padres and Dodgers.

The Dodgers lead Game 4 1-0 in the 2nd inning.

Whichever California team the Mets face -- New York will be on the road to start the NLCS.

Jose Quintana becomes Mets hero again in start of his life

Jose Quintana has pitched 11 innings in two clinching games this postseason and allowed zero earned runs.

The Mets could not possibly ask for more from a to-be free agent who is pitching as if he does not want this season to end — and ensuring just that.

Quintana was nails again, holding the Phillies to one unearned run in five innings of the Game 4, 4-1 win at Citi Field that sent the Mets into the NLCS for the first time since 2015.

Adam Amin overstated Francisco Lindor’s grand slam: ‘Biggest swing of the season’

Adam Amin might have gotten caught up in the moment when he declared the sixth-inning grand slam by Francisco Lindor the “biggest swing of the season” for the Mets. 

Lindor’s longball lifted the Mets to a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth and Amin, on the play-by-play call for FS1, seemed to jump the gun with his description.

“Lindor toward right-center field, this one is back!” Amin exclaimed. “This one is gone! Grand slam! Lindor puts the Mets on top! The biggest swing of the season for New York!”

The Mets’ improbable 2024 journey is going to the NLCS.

If there was a roof on Citi Field, it would’ve blown off when Francisco Lindor hit a go-ahead grand slam in the sixth inning to propel the Mets past the rival Phillies, 4-1, capturing the NLDS in four games.

And after needing 161 games to clinch a playoff berth and being three outs away from elimination in the wild-card round, the Amazin’s advance to the NLCS for the first time since 2015.
