The Yankees and Mets are scheduled to meet today in Japan with a representative of Yusei Kikuchi, the 18-year-old left handed phenom.

Kikuchi’s representative, Hiroshi Sasaki, met yesterday with the Red Sox, Dodgers, Giants and Rangers. He will now get together today for 30 minutes each with the two New York clubs, Indians and Mariners.

Kikuchi, whose fastball has been clocked as high as 96 mph and who has an above-average slider, is debating whether to stay in his home country or go to the major leagues.
