The Mets also reached settlements with Francisco Alvarez ($2.4 million), Tyrone Taylor ($3.8 million) and Luis Torrens ($2.275 million), according to sources.
Peterson was selected to the National League All-Star team last season but fizzled in the second half to finish 9-6 with a 4.22 ERA in 30 starts for the team.

Megill went 5-5 with a 3.95 ERA in 14 starts before he was shut down with elbow discomfort and underwent Tommy John surgery that will likely keep him out for next season.
Garrett pitched to a 3.90 ERA in 58 appearances as a reliever.
He underwent Tommy John surgery in October that is expected to keep him out all of 2026.
Brazobán pitched 63 innings across 52 games, mostly in relief, going 5-2 with a 3.57 ERA with two saves.
