Steve Cohen’s Mets ownership has already been felt within the community.

The River Fund New York announced receiving a $500,000 donation from the Steven and Alexandra Foundation, presented as a gift in honor of their new Mets family as well as a relaunch of the Mets Foundation and its ties to the Queens Community.

The donation will help the charity navigate through the next three or four months and enable it to feed more than 33,000 families.
