Scranton/Wilkes Barre manager Dave Miley and Mets minor leaguers Brad Holt and Wilmer Flores all earned accolades from Baseball America for their performance in 2008.

Miley was named the 2008 Triple-A Manager of the Year, while Holt was selected as the Short-Season Player of the Year and Flores was tabbed the Rookie League Player of the Year. But these weren’t the only accolades showered on Mets and Yankees prospects. In its annual “Best Tools” section of its Almanac, Baseball America ranks the best tools in each full-season minor league, from Triple-A to Low-A, in a variety of categories. Here are the players from both organizations to be selected:

Brett Gardner, Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre (Yankees): Best Strike-Zone Judgment, Best Baserunner.

David Robertson, Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre (Yankees): Best Reliever

Daniel Murphy, Double-A Binghamton (Mets): Best Batting Prospect

Nick Evans, Double-A BInghamton (Mets): Best Defensive First Baseman

Ramiro Pena, Double-A Trenton (Yankees): Best Defensive Shortstop

Austin Jackson, Double-A Trenton (Yankees): Best Defensive Outfielder

Jonathan Ortiz, Low-A Charleston (Yankees): Best Reliever
