Amid swirling reports that he was ready to change managers, Mets GM Omar Minaya offered Willie Randolph yet another vote of confidence today. “As I’ve said along, Willie has my support and he has ownership’s support,” Minaya said before tonight’s interleague game at Shea Stadium with Texas.

“I know it’s a question that continues to be asked, and I can understand why with some of the games we’ve lost,” Minaya continued. “But what I told you guys on Memorial Day [when Randolph held on to his job] still stands today.”
