Major League Baseball allegedly stole a North Carolina company’s idea for an online kids’ “academy,” according to a lawsuit.
Big League Analysis claims it did all the work for its MLB.com Digital Academy, according to a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit.
But the company alleges MLB and USA Baseball “siphoned away and redirected” Big League’s plans into a competing product, Playball.org.
Major League Baseball denied the allegations. “We fully performed under the terms of our contract,” a spokesman said.
