A 23-year-old Major League Baseball prospect was fighting for his life Saturday, a day after he was shot in the head in Yonkers.
Michael Nolan, 23, was shot in the head and torso in the parking lot of a Burger King on Central Avenue just after 12:30 a.m., authorities said. He remained in critical condition at Jacobi Medical Center on Saturday.
Nolan, a left-handed pitcher who attended Oklahoma City University, was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in June 2014.
No arrests have been made, but authorities believe the shooting may be related to a previous dispute.
