After tearing up the Low-A South Atlantic League last year, the Yankees No. 2 prospect, catcher Jesus Montero, hasn’t missed a beat with High-A Tampa this season. Montero went 3-for-4 with two homers, four RBI and three runs scored for Tampa in yesterday’s 8-3 win over Fort Myers.

The 19-year-old catcher has done little to hurt his stock this season, hitting .338 with seven homers and 34 RBI. He is all over the Florida State League’s leaderboards, ranking second in hits (54), slugging percentage (.574) and OPS (.961), tied for third in doubles (14), home runs (seven), RBI (34), tied for fourth in batting average (.338) and seventh in on-base percentage (.392).
