Along with playing in today’s Futures Game, Jesus Montero is also featured prominently in Baseball America’s recently unveiled Midseason Top 25 prospects list. Montero, who began the season ranked in the 30s, has leapt up the charts with a blistering start to his 2009 season between High-A Tampa and Double-A Trenton.

Some other local prospects also were featured in the list’s second set of 25 prospects: outfielder Austin Jackson (Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees), and pitchers Brad Holt and Jenrry Mejia (both with Double-A Binghamton Mets).
