A few injury updates from the clubhouse before the Mets head to Vero Beach today for their last visit ever to Dodgertown:
— Catcher Brian Schneider (strained hamstring) will miss two or three days but is expected to catch a bullpen session this afternoon and said he feels better.
— Carlos Delgado is back in Port St. Lucie after the MRI on his hip in New York yesterday. Delgado said the impingement in his hip had been bothering him for a few days, and the veteran first baseman hopes anti-inflammatory medication and rest for a couple of days will help the problem go away.
— Shortstop Jose Reyes had a big bandage on his left knee from the first-inning foul ball yesterday but says he will be fine. The Mets are giving him the day off today, but it is rest the club already had scheduled for Reyes before he caromed that ball off his knee.
— Marlon Anderson was back in the clubhouse and sore this morning after his collision with Ryan Church. As for Church, who suffered a Grade 2 concussion, he wasn’t around and won’t be back in the lineup until the end of next week — at the earliest.
