An MRI exam this afternoon revealed Alex Rodriguez has a low-grade strain of his left calf. The Yankees said the third baseman is day-to-day.
Rodriguez suffered this latest injury in Monday’s loss to the Tigers when he left the game after a fourth-inning at-bat complaining of tightness in the calf.
Rodriguez has battled hip, groin and ankle injuries already this season. Ramiro Pena started at third base in his place last night and Robinson Cano batted cleanup.
