The Mets’ playoff-clinching revelry took an interesting turn at the (rear) end of the party.
After their 5-3 win in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon, the Mets drenched one another in champagne to celebrate making the postseason for a second straight season, with a wild-card matchup at Citi Field against the Giants or Cardinals on tap for Wednesday. The SNY cameras caught much of the carousing, but the Mets let it all hang out a bit too long.
While SNY conducted an interview with GM Sandy Alderson, a Met slowly disrobed just over his shoulder. Eventually the towel came off, with the camerman apparently the only one oblivious as viewers cracked smiles.
Bobs Blitz was good (?) enough to zoom in and capture the interview in all its layers.
