Nearly two months after signing Oliver Perez, the Nationals have deemed the troubled lefty ready to face opposing batters.

Not major-league batters, but … according to MASN, the Nationals assigned Perez to Double-A Harrisburg. He had been pitching extended spring training.

The Nationals signed Perez to a minor-league contract March 23, two days after the Mets, who still owe him $11 million, released him.
