Jon Niese has it figured out. After struggling through the season’s first two months, Niese has been on a tremendous streak of late. It continued yesterday, when he fired off his seventh straight quality start with six innings of one-run ball against the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees.

Niese gave up the one run on eight hits, striking out five and walking one against SWB, but picked up a no-decision as Javier Castillo’s RBI single in the top of the ninth gave Buffalo a 2-1 win.
