The Mets handed out their Sterling Awards, the equivalent of the MVP for each of their nine minor league affiliates, this week, and three players who have made big impacts on the big club of late were the headliners.

Outfielders Nick Evans and Danny Murphy were named Sterling Co-Players of the Year for the entire Mets farm system, while pitcher Jonathan Niese was named the organization’s Pitcher of the Year.

Co-Player of the Year: Dan Murphy, OF

Co-Player of the Year: Nick Evans, OF/1B

Pitcher of the Year: Jonathan Niese, LHP

New Orleans Zephyrs (Triple-A) Player of the Year: Brian Stokes, RHP

Binghamton Mets (Double-A) Player of the Year: Mike Carp, 1B/DH

St. Lucie Mets (High-A) Player of the Year: RHP Dillon Gee

Savannah Sand Gnats (Low-A) Player of the Year: 2B Greg Veloz

Brooklyn Cyclones (New York-Penn League, short-season) Player of the Year: RHP Brad Holt

Kingsport Mets (Appalachain League, Rookie) Player of the Year: SS Wilmer Flores

Gulf Coast Mets (Gulf Coast League, Rookie) Player of the Year: 3B Jefry Marte

Dominican Summer League: RHP Gonzalez German

Venezuelan Summer League: LHP Jhonathan Torres
