Mike Pelfrey’s no-hitter against the Nationals ended in the seventh inning today when ex-Yankee Aaron Boone led off with a single to right. The only baserunners Pelfrey had allowed to that point came on three walks. The crowd at Shea Stadium rewarded Pelfrey with a well-deserved standing ovation after Boone’s hit. Pelfrey was lifted one inning later after a leadoff double by Jesus Flores turned into a 1-0 Washington lead and, eventually, a crushing Mets loss.
