Nori Aoki doesn’t fit into the Mets’ plans for next season.
The veteran outfielder, who is arbitration eligible, was released by the Mets on Monday, after a respectable September stint with the club.
The 35-year-old Aoki had a .284/.371/.373 slash line with eight RBIs in 27 games for the Mets. He also played for the Astros and Blue Jays in 2017.
