Do you own a glove? You just might be able to play a few innings for the Yankees.
The unfathomable injury scourge got worse Sunday, taking aim at the Bombers’ infield in a two-inning span.
First, it was DJ LeMahieu leaving the game in San Francisco in the third with right knee inflammation two days after he fouled a pitch off his leg. X-rays were negative.
Then Gio Urshela became the next victim in the top of the fifth inning, taking a pitch to his left hand/wrist area and being removed from the game in obvious pain.
Cameron Maybin replaced the third baseman, and he was set to switch to left field as Tyler Wade would trot in to third from the outfield.
The Yankees did not have any immediate updates on either LeMahieu or Urshela, both key cogs due to the plethora of injuries all over the field. Just within the infield, Didi Gregorius, Greg Bird, Troy Tulowitzki and Miguel Andujar have been missing.
