This new Orioles prospect would even make Aaron Judge seem small.
Jared Beck, a left-handed pitcher selected by Baltimore in the 13th round of the 2022 MLB Draft, is listed as 7-feet tall. Beck would become the tallest player in major league history, should he appear in an MLB game.
Former Mets pitcher Jon Rauch and Giants pitcher Sean Hjelle currently hold the mark for tallest to make the majors, with each listed as 6-foot-11.

Jared Beck was a 13th-round draft pick of the Orioles. Instagram/@jaredbeck45Beck posted a 3.95 ERA in 68 ⅓ innings for Division II Saint Leo University last season, striking out 105 batters.
“Jared’s a really interesting case,” Baltimore draft director Brad Ciolek told reporters on Wednesday. “Obviously, he’s a little bit of a bigger guy, and that might take a little bit more, I guess, in terms of delivery, refining his mechanics. But we have faith in our player-development staff, our pitching coaches, that they’ll be able to get the most out of his ability.”

Jared Beck, listed as 7-feet tall, could be the tallest MLB player in history.
At least two 7-foot-1 hurlers have pitched in the minor leagues: Loek van Mil for Minnesota and Ryan Doherty for Arizona. But both failed to reach the majors, leaving the door ajar for Beck to potentially become the tallest MLB player of all time.
