The results of voting for the baseball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2016 will be announced Wednesday afternoon, and Ken Griffey Jr. and former Mets catcher Mike Piazza are expected to gain induction to Cooperstown.
Less certain are the cases of those statistical giants tied to performance-enhancing drug use — Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Mark McGwire — or the irascible Curt Schilling or Montreal Expos icon Tim Raines, in his second-to-last year on the ballot.
Eleven writers from The Post submitted ballots to the Hall of Fame in recent weeks, forming a decent slice of a 400-odd-person electorate.
Remember: The threshold required for induction is 75 percent.
