Angel Pagan makes his Mets return in center field against the Phillies after being placed on the disabled list with an oblique injury April 22. He will bat sixth.

Pagan rehabbed in Port St. Lucie and had been scheduled to play again for Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday, but the Bisons were rained out.

He had been diagnosed with a strained oblique, but further tests showed a stress fracture of rib cartilage.

“I have no pain in my ribs,” Pagan said. “I never thought it would take this long.”

He received cortisone shot when he came back to New York for an MRI exam on May 7.

“When you get a shot, you feel like Superman and nothing hurts,” Pagan said. “Hopefully it stays that way.”

Pagan was hitting .159 in 19 games when he got hurt and admitted he was pressing.

“I think I put a lot of pressure on myself,” Pagan said. “People expect a lot from me and I put a lot of pressure on myself to do more than I could do. It was a big mistake for me and I learned from it.”

Outfielder Fernando Martinez was sent back to Buffalo.

In another roster move, pitcher Pat Misch was designated for assignment and replaced by pitcher Dale Thayer.

Here’s the rest of the lineup as the Mets open a homestand at Citi Field:

Reyes SS

Turner 3B

Beltran RF

Murphy 1B
