Is Carl Pavano finally going to return to the Bronx? Don’t laugh, Yankee fans – it could happen as soon as this weekend.

Pavano continued his strong run with Double-A Trenton Sunday, hurling six innings of one-run ball. He allowed the lone run on six hits, striking out six and walking one. After that performance, it would be surprising if Pavano made another rehab start in the minors – especially considering the state of the Yankee pitching staff. It is a situation that should bear watching as the week progresses.
