In his first appearance in a Yankee uniform since June of 2005, Carl Pavano worked two innings against the Phillies yesterday in Clearwater. While Pavano struggled with command, he made it through the stint unscathed. Two innings in March means very little in the big picture. However, when it’s Carl Pavano, it takes on a bigger meaning. In two innings against the Phillies in Clearwater, Pavano allowed one run, two hits and walked two.
Most importantly, he didn’t appear to suffer an injury.
