I’m off this weekend but a few quick things I wanted to share:

Don’t get too scared about Pedro Martinez’s rough first rehab outing. Pedro hit 88 mph in his debut and bullpen coach Guy Conti says that he just “got the rust knocked off of him.” He’s going to get better as he keeps going.

Now, I’m still not exactly sure how great Pedro will be this year when he returns. But I bet he’s at least pretty good. Then we’ll see about what kind of level he can reach next season.

By the way, after being on fire, I’ve suddenly lost three straight series picks. I’ll try to reverse this weekend with the Marlins. Mets take two of three.
