While Pedro Martinez remains at least 10 days or more from rejoining the Mets’ rotation, he will meet up with the club in Atlanta on Wednesday. The move is so Willie Randolph and the rest of the coaching staff can get an up-close look at Martinez while he throws a bullpen session at Turner Field. The decision comes after Pedro — sidelined since April 1 with a strained left hamstring — threw 77 pitches today in 4 2/3 innings of an extended game against Cardinal minor leaguers in Florida. That was a jump from the 55 pitches he threw last week in a simulated game against Met minor leaguers in Port St. Lucie.
