Pedro Martinez (pictured) has been lifted from today’s game with the Rockies at Shea Stadium in the bottom of the fourth inning after just 66 pitches. It was also just moments after Jerry Manuel and team trainer Ray Ramirez visited Pedro on the mound with one on and nobody out in the top of the fourth to check on an unspecified injury.

Martinez spent two months on the DL at the start of the season with a strained left hamstring. He was spotted in the clubhouse before today’s game with a large wrap around his right hamstring.

The Mets were leading 1-0 in the fourth when Martinez was taken out for a pinch hitter.
