PORT ST. LUCIE — Mike Pelfrey threw a lengthy bullpen session with no physical problems here today and declared himself set to start Saturday at home against the Nationals. Pelfrey has been sidelined since last Friday with a strained muscle in his lower left leg, but he said it wasn’t an issue when he pitched today.

Pelfrey also said the leg injury won’t cause any delays in his regular-season schedule.

“Physically I felt it a little bit, but it’s a lot better,” he said. “If it was the regular season, and I had to pitch today, I would.”
