MILWAUKEE — Oliver Perez will make what could be his final rehab start Friday in Buffalo for the Triple-A Bisons against Rochester. The Mets were encouraged by Perez’s strong outing Sunday for Single-A Brooklyn, when he struck out six in five scoreless innings, but they won’t yet commit to activating him immediately after Friday’s start.

Jerry Manuel also continued to float the farfetched idea of Perez sharing starts with Tim Redding, with Redding starting the first five innings and Perez taking the final four frames.
