The Yankees acquired lefty Phil Coke from the Lancaster Barnstormers of the Atlantic League for cash.

Coke appeared in 72 games for the 2009 World Series champion Yankees, and later was dealt to the Tigers as part of the three-team Curtis Granderson trade. He pitched in 18 games for the Cubs and Blue Jays last season before going to the Atlantic League.

He is expected to join Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre this week, where he’ll reunite with another 2009 Yankee. Nick Swisher started in right field for SWB Monday night, a possible indication the Yankees are considering him as a candidate to play the outfield if they have more injuries.
