When in doubt, check Twitter.

In light of the MLB’s coronavirus crisis, that’s how Phillies outfielder Andrew McCutchen has been learning of his team’s ever-changing schedule.

“I come on Twitter to find out if we are playing or not,” McCutchen tweeted Tuesday. “I dont (sic) wait for a text because media knows the answer before us. Lol.”

The two-game series between the Phillies and the Yankees – McCutchen’s former team – was postponed after 15 players and two coaches on the Marlins tested positive for COVID-19.

For now, the Marlins’ season has been paused until Sunday.

“The realities of the virus still loom large, and we must operate with that in mind every day,” MLB said in a statement. “We are confident that clubs and players will act appropriately, for themselves and for others, and the data provides reason to believe that the protocols can work effectively.”
