The Yankees won in walk-off fashion after mother nature stopped them from playing for a few hours Saturday. The Bronx Bombers then won again Sunday in walk-off fashion on Mother’s Day. Shoutout to all the mothers out there!

A sweep over the Tigers, a series win over the Astros and a series win over the Nationals has the Yankees surging into a key three-game set with the rival Rays, who have had their number so far in 2021.

The lineup will get reinforcements with Luke Voit returning, providing them a much-needed boost. To talk about the series win over the Nats, the matchup with the Rays and Voit’s grand return, we bring you a new episode of the “Pinstripe Pod” with Chris Shearn and four-time World Series champion Jeff Nelson, featuring an interview with Nellie’s former Yankees strength and conditioning coach, Jeff Mangold.

Pinstripe Pod Opening Segment with Chris, Jeff & Jake:

  • PITCHING: Domingo German has been fantastic. Jameson Taillon going deeper into games. Bullpen has been good. They are shutting teams down.
  • VOIT/FRAZIER/OFFENSE: Voit will help this lineup. Bottom of the lineup has been struggling. Aaron Judge is in a slump. Nellie calls Clint Frazier a mediocre player and shouldn’t be on the big-league roster. Big series with the Rays. Nellie calls Tuesday a must-win game for the Yankees.

Q&J Segment: Nellie answers questions on his workout routine during his career, go-to meal, pooping during games and the one hitter he faced that he always would get out.
