The Red Sox have made a mockery of the Yankees this season. Six games, six wins. The Bronx not-so Bombers are now 6.5 games back in the AL East after a brutal weekend in Beantown, where they were swept, embarrassed and couldn’t even get the equipment truck out of the Fenway Park garage. What could go wrong is going wrong for this inconsistent Yankees bunch. Is it time to make a few changes?

To answer that question and get into what happened to the Yankees in Boston, we bring you a new episode of the “Pinstripe Pod” with Chris Shearn and Yankees great Jeff Nelson, featuring a chat with die-hard Yankees fan and actor Nick Turturro.

Pinstripe Pod Opening Segment with Chris, Jeff & Jake:

  • RED SOX SWEEP: Are the Yankees just a mediocre team? This was an embarrassing weekend in Boston. This team looked lifeless. It is not early in the season anymore. Yankees might need a new voice.
  • YANKEES CHANGES: What can Yankees do to change up roster? Call someone up? Make a trade? Fire Aaron Boone? Yankees need to go out and take three out of four from the Angels this week before the Subway Series.

Nick Turturro Interview: Actor, Yankees fan

  • NOT GOOD: This team is just not good and can’t hit with men on base. Nick goes on a rant saying this is probably an 85-win team. They are boring to watch.
  • NO LEFTIES: When the Yankees were winning, they had lefties in the lineup. This team is too righty-heavy. Wishes the Yankees got Christian Yelich. Might be time to trade Gleyber Torres and fire Boone.
