PORT ST. LUCIE — The Mets’ issues with former clubhouse manager Charlie Samuels haven’t ended.

NYPD investigators spoke with several Mets on Wednesday, including Francisco Rodriguez, who had stayed at Samuels’ house.

Rodriguez said he was told he wasn’t involved in any investigation.

“They just asked me some questions about Charlie about the situation,” Rodriguez said Thursday, after being interviewed by police at his hotel the previous day for about 10 minutes. “Simple questions. I know they talked to other people, but it wasn’t about us. It was about Charlie and they just wanted to know what we knew.”

Samuels was fired by the club and is under investigation for allegedly betting on baseball, selling team merchandise for personal gain, and other alleged criminal activity.

Rodriguez said he doesn’t expect to be questioned further.

“They said they didn’t need anything else,” Rodriguez said. “I hadn’t talked to them before and I didn’t really know much.”

David Wright, who was close with Samuels, was not interviewed.

“I didn’t even know they were here,” Wright said.
