BALTIMORE — Jorge Posada’s return to the Yankees lineup lasted one day, with the designated hitter back on the bench with the team facing Orioles lefty Zach Britton.
Derek Jeter takes Posada’s place as DH, with Eduardo Nunez at shortstop.
Posada got two hits against the Rays on Tuesday, his first action since asking out of Saturday night’s game against the Red Sox.
Nick Swisher was back in the lineup after suffering a stomach ailment.
