We’ll bring you an abbreviated prospect report tonight, as we prepare for what looks like it will be a beautiful weekend. First, though, I want to give you this link to a story by my colleague Brett Cyrgalis about yesterday’s Staten Island game. The story focuses on one of the players you’ll read about after the jump, Dan Brewer. For the Mets, Binghamton’s Dan Murphy went 1-for-5 with a home run and three RBI; St. Lucie’s Ruben Tejada is 2-for-4 with a double, stolen base and run scored; and Savannah’s Greg Veloz was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. For the Yankees, Staten Island’s David Adams was 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI, while Brewer was 2-for-3 with a double and a RBI. Scranton/Wilkes Barre’s Daniel McCutchen had another good start, allowing two runs in six innings to improve to 3-6 in Triple-A, while Michael Dunn allowed one run in six innings for Tampa.
