Tyler Glasnow faced his toughest opponent after striking out 10 in the Rays’ 2-0 win over the Athletics.

Tampa Bay’s ace was confronted by his mother in a text after Wednesday’s game scolding him over his string of curses when centerfielder Kevin Kiermaier made an incredible catch.

During the seventh inning, Glasnow was caught on-camera visibly mouthing: “F—ing s–t! Motherf–ker. Every goddamn time. What the f–k,” after his teammate’s eye-popping play.

“My mom texted me like, ‘You got to stop cussing on TV. Like, cover your mouth or something!'” Glasnow said after the game.

He explained that “there’s some swear words going on when everything kind of goes well or someone does well” and therefore, “I should work on covering my mouth like my mom said.”

Glasnow admittedly had no other choice words when it came to describing his teammate’s clutch play.

“That’s my only reaction I can give him. It’s just unbelievable. Every time he does something, I’m in shock every time,” Glasnow said.

Glasnow deserved some expletives to be thrown his way, too.

In addition to the 10 punch-outs over seven innings, Glasnow gave up five hits and two walks to hand the A’s their third loss in four games — following Oakland’s 13-game winning streak.

The 27-year-old said he forced himself to “grind through” 98 pitches while dealing with a “weirdly uncomfortable” cramp in his right leg.

Glasnow is 3-1 with a 1.67 ERA and 56 strikeouts in six starts this season.
