The Red Sox are finally making a big splash.

After missing out on a number of high-profile free agents including Juan Soto and Max Fried, the Red Sox are in agreement on a trade for White Sox pitcher Garrett Crochet,

The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed.

Catching prospect Kyle Teel will be headed back to Chicago in the trade, Sherman reported.

The White Sox are also getting outfielder Braden Montgomery, infielder Chase Meidroth and right-hander Wikelman Gonzalez, The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed.

Crochet was an All-Star last year.

Although he had a 6-12 record on a woeful White Sox team, he had a 3.58 ERA and 1.068 WHIP.

Teel is the most coveted prospect in the trade — he is currently ranked 25th on MLB’s top 100 list

Montgomery is ranked 54th, while Meidroth and Gonzalez are not on the list.

There had been angst in Red Sox Nation after the team lost out in pursuits of Soto, Fried and Shane Bieber.

Boston megafan Bill Simmons posted a series of screenshots mocking how the team was “seriously” going after these players.

Lou Merloni, a former Red Sox infielder who is now a talk show host for WEEI, urged the team to go after former Cy Young award winner Corbin Burnes.

“So it’s [Toronto, San Franciso] and Boston?? SF scares me. Just need a win,” Merloni wrote on X. “Absolutely need Burnes. After that, they can mess around with the Bullpen, Depth arms, and grab a bat, any bat. Doesn’t matter but they need a guy on top of this Rotation to be what they want to be.”

The Red Sox went 81-81 and missed the playoffs last season.
