According to this report in the Providence (R.I.) Journal, the Red Sox will help the Mets inaugurate new Citi Field (pictured) next April with two exhibition games. The Mets said this afternoon that these games are likely to happen, with the dates probably being April 3 and 4. The “real” opener will come the following week against the Padres.
