SAN FRANCISCO — Tim Redding will come off the DL for the first time all season this weekend in time to make a start Monday night in Los Angeles against the Dodgers.
Redding, the former National who was signed to a one-year, $2.25 million deal in the offseason, has been sidelined since early in spring training with a strain in his right rotator cuff.
Redding will square off against Dodgers lefty Randy Wolf, whom the Mets considered in free agency before signing Redding.
Redding made two rehab assignments at Triple-A Buffalo, failing to record a decision in either game but notching a 2.77 ERA in 13 innings.
