Reggie Jackson finally has some vindication.

The former Yankees slugger paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday, decades after his “Naked Gun” character was programmed to assassinate the Queen during the seventh-inning stretch of a game against the Seattle Mariners.

“Now we all know I was innocent!,” he tweeted. “Amen! RIP Queen E!.”

Jackson, now an Astros executive, wore his Angels uniform for the 1988 movie, having played for the California team from 1982-86. His character, credited as “Angels right fielder,” uttered one infamous line:

“I must kill … the Queen.”

The 76-year-old, famously known as Mr. October for his clutch postseason exploits, is seemingly off the hook for this one.
