Star-crossed Mets minor-league reliever Ambiorix Burgos has been charged with assault and harassment for hitting his girlfriend at a Queens hotel Monday. Burgos, a hard-throwing right hander who is in the midst of a comeback from Tommy John surgery and was likely to rejoin the Mets’ bullpen this month, was expected to be arraigned today. Burgos drew national notoriety in February when he left nearly $300,000 in jewelry in his hotel room in Port St. Lucie that was briefly stolen.
