The Mets offered veteran right-hander Kelvim Escobar a minor-league contract today, according to Venezuelan newspaper El Nacional. 

Escobar, 33, is 101-91 in 12 seasons but made just one appearance for the Angels over the past two years combined due to shoulder problems.
