The Orioles have gone two months without a permanent manager in place, but the same name has remained on top their list of potential replacements.

Former Yankees manager Buck Showalter is still the favorite to land the Orioles job, according to an ESPN.com report.

“Buck Showalter remains the first choice of the Orioles, but the deal is not done and there are potential hurdles to an agreement,” the report states.

Showalter has had several interviews with the team since they axed Dave Trembley on May 13. Juan Samuel has acted as the interim manager.
