Yankees catcher Jorge Posada will have an MRI exam on his bruised foot and is out of the lineup again tonight against the Rays at the Stadium, according to ESPN.com.

Posada has not played since being hit with a foul ball on May 16.

“We expected him to be a lot better at this point,” Joe Girardi said, according to NJ.com.

Nick Swisher (biceps) also is out again, with Marcus Thames back in right field.
